So, this is what substitute teachers do in their spare time? Go to coffee shops and listen to a bad saxophone music. It wouldn’t have been nearly as bad if the group of seemingly welcoming substitute teachers had come to the outing they invited Mira to, but they were no where to be seen.
She took another sip of her cafe mocha as she sat in the dark corner, waiting for anybody to show up late. Not what she personally would have done, but she wasn’t allowed to be herself so she waited a little bit longer for the people who wouldn’t show up.
